What makes Oilika thistle oil unique?
Did you know which plant is milk thistle? St. John's wort is an herb used in folk medicine to promote good digestion and increase liver resistance. Oilika makes milk thistle oil, which is cold pressed like our other oils, so it retains all its beneficial properties.
Taste
Pleasant flavour and beautiful yellow colour.
Technology
At Oilika, oil is pressed in a hydraulic press at room temperature using the cold-pressing method and the oil does not come into contact with metal. In the cold-pressing method, the oil temperature is kept below 25°C to preserve the oil's beneficial properties.

We recommend using Oilika Thistle Oil in savoury dishes:
NB! Cold-pressed oils are very sensitive to high temperatures, which is why Oilika barley oil is not suitable for frying or baking.
STORAGE
To fully enjoy the taste of our butter, remember:
NB! Oilika barley oil, like our other oils, has a short shelf life. You get the maximum benefit and the best taste when you consume our oils fresh. For this reason, we do not recommend pre-ordering your oil. It is better to order in advance in different batches so that you can always enjoy the fresh taste.
NB! If you store milk thistle oil in the fridge, you will notice that a sediment will form in the bottle. This is normal, because this oil is higher in saturated fatty acids, which solidify at low temperatures. In this case, take the oil out of the fridge, wait for the sediment to disappear, use the oil and put it back in the fridge.
