What makes Oilika mustard oil unique?

100% mustard oil is a golden yellow coloured oil of the Sarepta mustard variety (Brassica juncea L.) with a pleasant herbal taste. Its excellent flavour and properties make it an indispensable product for those who prefer a healthy and nutritious diet. The oil is rich in mono- and polyunsaturated fats, which help to reduce 'bad' cholesterol and raise 'good' cholesterol. These substances prevent premature ageing of the brain and support vascular and heart health. In cooking, mustard oil is used in vegetable salads. It is added to dough to give baked goods a fragrant, beautiful golden hue.

Taste

Mustard oil has a beautiful yellow colour and a pleasant mustard taste. Oilika mustard oil is not bitter because it is cold-pressed and sent to you fresh.

Technology

At Oilika, oil is pressed in a hydraulic press at room temperature using the cold-pressing method and the oil does not come into contact with metal. In the cold-pressing method, the oil temperature is kept below 25°C in order to preserve the oil's useful properties.

USE.

Oilika cold-pressed mustard oil gives your food a nice taste. Use our mustard oil:

  • For all cold dishes (salads, sauces,..).
  • Or to flavour already prepared dishes (hot meals, porridges, cooked vegetables).
  • If you make sauces with mustard, add Oilika mustard oil.
  • For breakfast, put flaxseed oil on a sandwich or cottage cheese.
  • For porridge, use Oilika mustard oil instead of butter, it will help to reduce the consumption of animal fats and give your porridge a nice taste.
  • In addition to this, mustard oil can be used not only for meals but also as a base oil for skin care with essential oils.

NB! Cold-pressed oils are very sensitive to high temperatures, so Oilika mustard oil is not suitable for frying or baking.

STORAGE

To fully enjoy the taste of our Oilika mustard oil, remember:

  • When you get our oil and come home with it, put it in the fridge.
  • Store the oil in a cool, dark place, and keep it in the fridge when open.
  • Store mustard oil in its original packaging. Paper packaging and dark glass further protect the oil from external influences (light, temperature changes).
  • Store mustard oil in a sealed bottle, the date of preparation and the expiry date are indicated on the packaging.
  • Use the oil until the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
  • NB! Oilika mustard oil, like our other oils, has a short shelf life. If you use Oilika oil fresh, you can fully enjoy the flavour of the oil and get the maximum benefit from it. For this reason, we do not recommend ordering mustard oil in advance. It is better to order in advance in different batches so that you can always enjoy fresh oil.
