What makes Oilika mustard oil unique?

100% mustard oil is an oil of the Sarepta mustard variety (Brassica juncea L.) with a golden yellow colour and a pleasant herbal taste.

The excellent taste and properties of oil make it an indispensable product for those who prefer a healthy and nutritious diet. Oil is rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which help to reduce 'bad' cholesterol and increase 'good' cholesterol levels. Oil prevents premature ageing of the brain and supports vascular and heart health.

In cooking, mustard oil is used to prepare vegetables and salads. It is also added to dough to make baked goods fragrant and give them a beautiful golden hue.

The only oil in cold press oils that can be heated.

The smoke point of mustard oil is 203°C.

Taste

Mustard oil has a beautiful yellow colour and a pleasant mustard taste. Oilika mustard oil is not bitter because it is cold-pressed and sent to you freshly pressed.

Technology

At Oilika, the oil is cold-pressed (at room temperature below 25°C) in a hydraulic press without any contact with metal, thus preserving all the beneficial properties of the oil.

Use of

Oilika cold-pressed mustard oil gives your food a nice taste. Use our mustard oil:

  • For flavouring all cold dishes (salads, sauces, etc.) or warm dishes, helping to reduce the consumption of animal fat and giving a delicious perfection to the dish.
  • If you are making sauces with mustard, also add Oilika mustard oil.
  • In addition, mustard oil can be used not only as a food but also as a base oil for skin care in combination with essential oils.

 

Storage at

Oilika mustard oil, like our other oils, has a short shelf life. When you use Oilika oil fresh, you can enjoy the perfect taste of the oil. To fully enjoy the taste of our Oilika mustard oil, remember:

  • Store the oil in its original packaging. The packaging and dark glass further protect the oil from the effects of light and temperature changes.
  • Store the oil in a cool, dark place, and keep it in the fridge when open.
  • The date of manufacture and the expiry date are indicated on the packaging.
  • Use the oil for 1 year from the date of manufacture.
